Antarctic Center and Horse Polo, Christchurch, NZ south island.


In Christchurs which is the south islands biggest town we find the antartic center. This where the US and NZ amoung others goes to antartic from. They have a frezing room where you can expericen some "swedish" weather in...
I Christchurch som ar sydons storsta stad och bas for bla det Nya Zeelandska och Amerikanska polarforskningen i Antarktik. I The Antartic Center provade vi pa hur ni har det nu i Sverige. -18 grader med vindfaktorn var det kallaste som gick at fa.


After getting back out in the varm weather we went and saw something we never seen before - horse polo...
Ut i varmen igen akte vi in pa nagot som vi aldrig sett forut....hastpolo.


It is four players in each team, the field is bigger than a football field and everything goes very fast.
Det ar fyra spelare i varje lag pa en plan som ar ca dubbelt sa stor som en fotbollsplan. 6 perioder om ca 7 minuter i en fartfyllt och mycket latt sport att forsta men helt otroligt svar att utfora.


Every player has about 5-7 horses which they pick out playing with and rotating so they are fresh and fast. 80% of the players ability is depentent on the horse - not a cheap sport...
